It’s not unusual to pay this sort of money just to get an aluminium frame like that of the Mammoth, without the rest of the bike! Its integrated headset, hip-stay rear triangle and gusseted down tube are all desirable features. A decent suspension fork, 21 speed rapidfire shifters and some fine componentry top off a superb beginners bike.
